Billy Crowder
USA Roller Sports Certified Coach
Billy Crowder is a USA Roller Sports certified coach. He has been a skating instructor for over 20 years and has experience teaching skating at every level. From beginner skaters all the way up to world-class skaters, he has done it all.
Even he is a champion skater! Billy has won Gold Skate, Regional, National, and World Game roller skating titles throughout his career. In addition, during his own skating career he was fortunate to travel all around the world representing Team USA in over 8 international World Championships.
He is excited to share the knowledge he has collected over the years and pass it on to his own skating students. Giving skaters the tools and confidence they need to become great, is not only his motivation but what truly brings him joy.
“I am one of Billy’s casuals and in the 5 months I have been taking lessons with him, I have progressed so much more than I could have on my own. He’s inspired me to stick with roller skating so much so that I can’t see myself not doing it. He formulates each lesson so it is tailored to your own unique skill level so that no two lessons are exactly the same. He also pushes his students to try new skills and works with you until you get it not only right but also look graceful doing it. Outside of being an amazingly talented skater: he’s a great human being, funny, encouraging, positive, and gets personally invested in each of us so he can unlock the best of ourselves. I’m so privileged to be able to call him not only my coach but also my friend.”

“Lessons with Billy have been such a bright spot in my life! I was a gymnast and did a little figure skating as a kid and I wanted to get that joy back in my life but was lacking confidence and proper skills. The moment I met Billy it was like hanging out with a great friend and in just a few lessons I’ve built up more confidence and felt like a kid again. He has a way of teaching that makes it so easy to learn and have fun at the same time. At 51 I am actually considering competing and I’m certain that he will be the one to help get me there.”

“I haven’t skated in over 50 years, and never had lessons. I wanted to get back on skates since everyone was skating again, and I loved it as a kid.
First class was all about the basics, how to stop, going forward, turning. Everything you need to know and feel confident about being a newbie and back on skates.
I love his class. He can even teach the most uncoordinated, backwards people like myself.
You can tell how passionate he is about skating and teaching. He is super fun and patient. I am now doing tricks and can’t wait to learn more!! So whether your 6 or 60 give him a try… Billy is Awesome!”
